  • Chris Miller

    lead pastor

    Chris Miller is the founding pastor of Genesis Church. Chris is a second-generation church planter who has a desire to communicate Biblical truths in a creative way people can understand. Chris has a Bachelors degree in theological studies from Lee University in Cleveland TN. Chris and Heidi have been blessed with four children: AnnaBelle, Eli, Jian, and Emma Claire. As the congregation continues to move forward please keep Pastor Chris, Heidi, AnnaBelle, Eli, Jian and Emma Claire in your prayers. 


  • Sally Rice

    Financial secretary

    Sally Rice serves as the office manager at Genesis Church. She is a founding member along with her family. Sally has been married for seventeen years and has three children: Madie, Cameron, and Spencer. She loves spending time with her family and church. 


  • Jocelyn Sao

    creative director

    Jocelyn has been part of Genesis since its second year, although her husband’s military assignments have required her to leave at various times. Jocelyn has been leading worship since she was 12 years old. As a military wife, she has had the opportunity to work with 10 worship teams and lead different cultures in worship. With her husband’s retirement from the military they will make Genesis their permanent home. Jocelyn and her husband, Miles, have two children, Brianna and Levvy. Jocelyn said worship is a lifeline for her where she can be filled and poured out at the same time. She believes the message of worship should always remain the same, even if music genres change .

  • gary kauffman

    Small Group leader

    Gary Kauffman has enjoyed a long career as a journalist and is currently editor of the CSRA business publication, Buzz on Biz. He is also a Christian life coach, helping people make the most of their strengths and reach their goals in life. In the past, he served on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ (Cru) and completed classes at the Institute of Biblical Studies. He enjoys baseball, golf and reading. His wife, Jill, is promotions director at 88.3 WAFJ radio station and on air, Saturdays and Sundays, 5-10 p.m. They have seven grandchildren.
